What Shall I Offer

“What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” ~ Ps 116:12

It is the season of “Offering” – God Offered His Son, and Jesus Offered His Life!  What will we offer unto Him?  This is why we encourage a Lenten Discipline.  In this Message today, I Pray that God will move the hearts of His people by the power of His Holy Spirit – move us to action, to dedication, to sacrifice. For our Salvation was a great sacrifice of our Father God. His Son became the perfect Lamb/Sacrifice for our Eternal Life. It is the Father’s desire that the Word of Christ would dwell in us “richly.”  The “Offering of God’s Son was that Jesus would dwell in us, that we would speak to ourselves in Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs, always having a melody in our heart unto the Lord [Eph. 5:19].  His Offering declared we are a “Peculiar People” and as we Praise Him, He will bring us out of darkness and into His Marvelous Light [1 Pet. 2:9].What darkens your path today? What work of darkness has the evil one harassed you with? We overcome by the Sacrificed Lamb, the Blood of Jesus! Most often when we talk about “Offerings” we thank of our financial gifts to Him. In Ex. 35:5 “Take ye from among you an Offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an Offering of the Lord; gold, and silver...” God calls for our financial Offerings ... He may call for monies, He also calls for flesh! He desires that we “Present ourselves: Rom.12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the Mercies of God, that ye Present [offer] your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Jesus offered/gave willingly His Body and Blood to serve Humanity with Eternal Life. So when God said “...Whosoever is of a willing heart/flesh bring an Offering unto the Lord!” The greatest Gift we can give to God is our life, our flesh, our actions, our Love! It is the Example of Christ in us motivated to “Offer service unto Him!”  Meditate upon Eph. 5:2 “... Walk in love, as Christ also hath Loved us, and hath given Himself for us an Offering and a Sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.” Continue strong in your Lenten Discipline meditating upon; What Shall I Offer? Loving you, Pastor
