The Songs of Deliverance Part 3, The Song of Deborah and Barak - May 19, 2013
In Genesis 1:1-2 Scripture informs us of the Beginning of our earth: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Note what the ancient Biblical Book of Job reports: “When the foundations were fastened, and the Corner Stone laid, “The Morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for Joy.”  ~ Job 38 What a glorious song of creation! Our first Song of deliverance in this series came from Hannah: God delivered her from barrenness and the vexation of the enemy. Her life seemed void, dark and empty. God heard her prayer and delivered her, blessing her with a child, and not just a child but other children too. Hannah sang her song of deliverance: “There is none holy as the Lord, there is no Rock like our God!”  Moses drafted by God to deliver Israel out of the bondage of Egypt, brought them out with much hardship and duress. His song of triumph and deliverance effected others causing Miriam and the women to grasp their tambourines and sing with Moses: “I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, he has become my Salvation: He is my God!” Today it is the Song of Deborah and Barak as the enemy is destroyed and Israel is delivered from the enemy Sisera of the Canaanites.  Actually it was a duet, for Scripture reveals Deborah and Barak Sang this Song together: “Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will Sing unto the Lord; I will Sing Praise to the Lord God of Israel.”  What we note in all these messages is: The Faithfulness of God to forgive, restore, deliver, and bless. For over and over Israel sinned against God. God loved Israel as He loves us and He was faithful to forgive their sins if they would call upon Him, turn from their wicked ways: “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and Pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  O saints, Remember all the ways that the Lord has led you in your life, and break forth in your Song of deliverance!  Loving you, Pastor

Songs of Deliverance - Part 2, Songs of Moses and Miriam - May 12, 2013
As we explore the Songs of deliverance, let us take note that sometimes such song is short lived.  God Miraculously delivered the Israelites out of the bondage of Egypt. Egypt is a type of the world and the bondage of the evil one.  There in Egypt, Scripture informs us of the horrible bondage that had come up the Israelites. It would be good to read the Book of Exodus in your devotions during this week.  Because…if we have a spiritual eye to see… there is a bondage quickly coming up our nation.  It is because of the Intercession of the saints and the Mercy of God that judgment has not consumed us.  Before you get discouraged with this Message, remember there is a “Song of Deliverance!”  As Israel came out of the bondage by the glorious hand of God, the enemy came after them.  Exodus 14:6-7 tells us that the enemy made ready to pursue God’s people, perhaps this sounds familiar!  The enemy continues today to pursue God’s people!   Exodus 14:7 “And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.” He pursued after the Children of Israel.  To hear the Song of Deliverance one sometimes, may experience a “Red Sea” trial. Once you read the entire account of this awesome moment in the History of Israel, your heart will leap for Joy as Moses Song comes forth. It is a Song of exaltation for the delivering hand of God.  The thought of the enemy is seen in VS 9 “The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.” But God’s plan prevailed! In Vs 20-21 the glorious joy of defeating the enemy caught on to others and “Miriam took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.  And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for He had triumphed gloriously …” May our song of deliverance come forth with strength and power as we remember the delivering hand of our God in our life!  In Isaiah 14 the Prophet talks about a Song of Deliverance from the anti Christ: “The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet; they break forth into Singing!  Sing your song Children, loving you, Pastor

Songs of Deliverance Part 1, May 5, 2013

In the next few weeks we will visit Scripture that causes a “New Song” to arise in our heart.  Today we will note the Prophetic Song of Hannah as God delivered her from barrenness. There is fastly growing a barrenness in our society for the power and presence of our God.  When God is diminished in our way of life, there soon becomes a barrenness in life.  It is the devil’s role to bring these periods of barrenness to our soul.  As we look at the Passages of Scripture that refer to Hanna and her situation, we quickly note a spiritual example wherein the enemy is at work.  Does this sound familiar?  We work and strive to be a faithful servant, yet we face difficulties and disappointments, trials and troubles and sometimes we wonder if our Prayer is being heard. We are comforted by God’s Word: Ps. 34:17-18 “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” We have the Word of God as our source and strength in the time of trouble. When there seems to be a barren spot in our life, it is then that our soul needs to cry out in Song unto the Lord.  In these Messages we will see the trail of the individual, and we will see the hand of the Lord extended as they give their Song unto the Lord.  David, a man of many trails and trouble and barren spots in his life, speaks to our spirit as we hear his Words in Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my Song will I Praise Him.” Let us Bless the Lord for His Strength and His protection, that is His Shield that He provides for us! The hour is upon us that our heart must Trust in Him. He will guide us through the wilderness experience, He will be our help in the time of trouble, as our heart is turned to rejoice in the midst of the barrenness or difficulty.  May of Song of Deliverance be on our lips!  And may we always Bless His Holy Name no matter the situation!  Loving you, Pastor
