“…It shall be,
when they say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the Pattern of the
Altar of the Lord, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for
sacrifices; but it is a
witness between us and you.”
Christianity should
approach the Old Testament with gratitude and thanksgiving for the Grace that
God has given to our generation. The New Testament Generation is exceedingly
and without measure Blessed to be covered by the Precious Blood of Jesus! God
gave a Pattern to the Old Testament regarding the place of His dwelling with
the people. In this Tabernacle the Holy of Holies was vailed and only the
Priest could go before the Lord. I’m sure if you are a believer, a born again
saint of God, you know this. But perhaps over the years Christianity has taken
advantage of the God’s great Grace. Perhaps taken it for granted. It is good to
take another look at God’s Grace and His pattern for our life! God’s Pattern
for us is priceless. While the Pattern of the Old Testament has “waxed old”
there is yet a “New Covenant” that is far superior to the Old. Really, all that God ever wants is to have
Love returned unto Him. Love so strong
that we will be mindful of His will in our Life. As we have celebrated Valentines Day, a
special day in our world, perhaps we should meditate upon the “Heart” that gave
His Only Begotten Son. What an awesome Gift!
Eternal Life in the realm of Heaven, amid the Host of Angels, the
Prophets, the Patriarch’s, our departed Loved Ones, -- on and on go the Joy’s
of Eternal life! That’s an unending Valentine! Jesus Christ the Son of God
lives in our heart. God has given a Pattern for the Old Testament and He has
renewed that Pattern in the New Testament through our Savior! The Pattern of the Old Testament was often
broken, but God never gave up on the Israelites, His Love continued strong upon
His people unto this day. Now we, the Gentiles [and all people] are also a
receiver of His Love and Eternal Life! And – His Pattern for us is still alive
and well. Hear the Word of the Lord concerning
the New Testament Pattern of our God: 1
Tim. 1:15-16 “This is
a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into
the world to save sinners; For this cause I obtained Mercy, that in me first,
Jesus Christ might shew forth all Longsuffering, for a Pattern to them which
should hereafter believe on Him to life Everlasting.” To all of you, You are in my heart and I send
my Love in this Precious season of Valentines Day. May our heart swell with
Love for Jesus our Lord & Savior!

The Lord Reigneth
Some
time just cruse through the Word of God and you will be quite surprised at what
you might find. It will seem that some Scripture will pop forth and stop your
graze, it is then you want to stop and take a look at what the Lord might want
to say to you! Yes, this Scripture
stopped me in my tracts when I heard the Lord say: “Am I a God at Hand, or a God far off!” Sometimes the enemy of our
soul tempts us to wonder if the heavens are brass, because it seems our Prayers
does not get through to Him. God’s ear is never deaf, He always hears, He is
working His plan for us! His Word tells us in Rom. 5 that we have access by
Faith into His Grace, here we should stand! We should rejoice in the Hope of the Glory of God, and not only so, but
we should Glory in tribulation! Glory has several meanings: Most important
it means, Praise, Worship, and Thanksgiving which we offer to a deity, there is
only one deity for the Christian, it is our God Jehovah! He is beautiful,
Magnificent and Most powerful! O let the saints exult His Holy Name! There are troublous times, but He is a
Faithful God! Acts 14 encourages us to “Confirm our soul as a Disciple and be
exhorted to continue in the Faith, and that through much tribulation we will
enter into the Kingdom of God!” Is our God at hand in our tribulation?
Tribulation, meaning times of trouble or suffering? There is a Unique Verse of
Scripture in Deut. 4:30-31 “When
thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn
to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; For the Lord thy God
is a Merciful God; He will not
forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the Covenant of thy fathers
which He sware unto them.” This speaks of the Old Testament Covenant, O
but now saints we are a recipient of Goods most powerful Covenant, that which
is written in the Precious Blood of Jesus, our Saviour, our Redeemer, and our
soon Coming King! Can anything separate us from the Love of our God? He truly
is at hand, He is not a God who is far off! He has made us more than conquerors
because of His Great Love and the Sacrifice of His Son Jesus! Let the saints be
assured that our God is at hand, as He has said: Ezk.
20:33 “As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a
stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:” Loving you, Pastor
