Triumph Song

“Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto Thy Holy Name, and to Triumph in Thy Praise.” Ps 106:47
The Question before the people of God is: “How powerful is your Song of Praise?” The Messages that God has given me in these last few weeks … “Wars and rumors of wars, Fret not because of evil doers …” ammunition for the war that rages, not only in our land, but in our own lives. For the enemy is rampant and seeking to wear out the saints. The Book of Daniel speaks about this: Dan 7:25 “The enemy shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand …  In this hour of warfare, evil, and disregard for the Word of God – do we have a Song of the Lord that will put the enemy to flight? Truly saints in this hour of total disregard for the things of our God, what is our weapon for this warfare?  As always let us go to the Word of God. God has various weapons for our warfare!  We know the Power of the Holy Spirit will war for us; 2 Cor 10:4-6 encourages us, “our weapons are not carnal, but Mighty through God and we are able to pull down strong holds of the enemy, let us cast down every thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ!” I find in Scripture that a “Triumph Song” is also a weapon of the Spirit of God! I point to 2 Chron. 20:21-22; The enemy nations had come against King Jehoshaphat and Scripture reveals he feared … However VS 14-15 “Then came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation, here is the verse that tells us “Be not afraid, nor dismayed; for the battle is not yours, but God’s!” VS21 The King appointed singers unto the Lord, that they should “Praise the beauty of Holiness and go before the Army, and say, Praise the Lord; for His Mercy endureth forever!” Sing before, during, and after your battle! Remember Moses, when the battle was won, he sang a Song of Triumph! [Ex.15] We too can Triumph – if we have a Song of Victory, a Song that originates in the depth of our Spirit. For the warfare is against the Child of God. Remember Isaiah proclaimed; “Ye shall have a Song, as in the night when a Holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart ...!”  Often saints have a thought that they don’t Sing can’t Sing, or they don’t give much thought to Singing; but let us hear the Psalmist … 66:1 “Make a Joyful Noise unto God, Sing forth the honour of His Name: make His Praise glorius!” O saints there is Victory in our Song of the Lord: Such a Song comes from the depth of our being and raises a standard against our foe!  Loving you, Pastor

Wars and Rumors of Wars

“When ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings …”   ~ Mark 13:7-8
Let’s Talk about the End Time. What are the thoughts of Christians when it comes to discussing “The End”?   First with God the End is glorious, but getting to the end is quite a journey.  As I was in my devotions I was reading in 2 Chron. And I came across a well-know Passage of Scripture which read: “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in behalf of the whose heart is perfect toward Him.”  I’ve quoted this Scripture since I was child, but now I read on and it seemed like the first time I ever read this portion – Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shall have wars!” Out of this comes the Message today. My thoughts soared, God was encouraging His People, telling us He was watching over us: {the strong of heart – I took this to mean the Believer} Who then are the foolish? So back to the full Chapter to answer these questions. There was a war going on and the emphasis that I see is, they had not trusted the Lord.  They had relied upon the arm of flesh in this battle. Now I have a sermon!  God is looking upon us and desiring us to “trust” Him in the circumstances of our life, the freedom of our country, and the leadership of our country. Battles can only be won when God is at the helm of our life and our Trust is in Him. There are wars and rumor of wars all around us as we watch the news. Our commentator’s will not let up on the leadership of our country in collusion with Russia. Now Russia has some great weapon that they tell us we can not stop, etc. Then there is China that seems to have heavy artillery and a warring spirit. There is must unrest in the Nations. America must trust in God, that we be not foolish and trust in the arm of flesh. Take comfort saints, and hear God’s comforting words; Ps. 46-47 and here is just a phrase, “He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; Be still and know that I Am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge … and Selah!”  Hear the Words of Jesus to US, His followers, His Disciples … Luke 21:9, When ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. VS 19 In patience possess ye your souls! Let us strengthen our “Trust” in our God! Loving you, Pastor

A Time with Purpose 2019

“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being Fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to His Glorious Power, unto all patience and longsuffering with Joyfulness!”  ~ Col. 1:10-11
Wishing you a prosperous New Year as you begin to celebrate 2019. I believe God has great Purpose for this New Year! He has said in His Word, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” It is most probable that the Lord awaits our decision to follow more closely after His Will. With what Purpose will we enter this New Year of 2019? Many will attempt to make New Year’s resolutions. They will find them hard to walk out as the New Year wears on into the first months. May we make Spiritual resolutions! It is a time in our generation that corruption has creped into our world like never before, and it has touched the Church of Jesus Christ. We are to be a Fruitful people according to the Word of God. It is a time for the Church of Jesus Christ to make a “Fruitful” or greater Spiritual commitment. Ps. One encourages us to “Delight in the Law of the Lord:” For us, that is to Delight in Jesus our Saviour, He has given us Grace. Hear the Word of the Lord --- Psalm 119:126-130 “It is Time for Thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void Thy Law. I esteem all Thy Precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. Thy Testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth Under-standing …. As we meditate upon these Words of God, we truly know that they are true. It is a strategic Time, in our Generation, that we must hear the Word of the Lord! We have such a short time in our season to perform a holy purpose!  Let us give some thought to this Time, that we might fulfill the purpose of God in our Generation. Ps. 78:6 says “That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their Hope in God, and not forget the Works of God, but keep His Word…! We are admonished from the Word of God to “Redeem the Time,” because the days are evil!” 2019 will be a Time of Purpose, God will call for the Fruit of His Spirit to be perfected in our life, that we might draw others to Him. More Prayer will strengthen our “Fruit” and more of “His Word” will create a positive force in our life! “For the time will come [has come] when sound Doctrine will not endure and humanity will be turned to their own way.”  -- Trust in the Lord, and we will be “Kept by the Power of God through Faith in Him!  Loving you, Pastor
