When He The Comforter Has Come

Today let us give Thanks unto our Lord Jesus Christ for all the Soldiers who have served in our country throughout the many years of our Freedom. It is truly a time to “Let Freedom ring!” Not only in a Patriot fashion, but Spiritually also.  For God has given us Spiritual Freedom, He has sent the Precious Holy Ghost to strengthen His people, and to comfort all who morn! Today Americans all over our country will visit the graves of loved ones to decorate their graves, to Honour their lives.  It is a special and unique time of remembrance! We are reminded that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble!” – Jesus encouraged our hearts in John 16:8-14; He said When He, the Comforter, is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide us into all Truth; and He will shew us things to come. The glorious fact is that Jesus our Saviour has sent the Comforter, the Holy Ghost has come, and we celebrate His coming, it is called Pentecost!  For Jesus Promised He would come, and 50 days after Jesus Ascension, His return to heaven after Resurrection, His Promise came to pass! Acts 2:1-5 When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. There appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  Hallelujah!    Loving You Pastor

The Armor of God

We read in Acts 20:21 ... “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Repentance toward God brings us into that deep personal relationship with Jesus; forgiveness of our sins and right relationship with God – which then causes our faith ... and our hope, our trust, our encouragement to grow in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Saviour who has bought us by His life giving Blood on Calvary!  We now are changed by the Power of the Holy Spirit abiding within us – and this is the Word of our Testimony!  We are being changed daily into the image of our Lord and Saviour, through the Word of our Testimony – the living Word of God!  Walking the life of Faith might not always be easy, but it yields the fruit of righteousness.  Jude 1:3 encourages us to “earnestly contend for the faith.”  How do we do this?  By hiding the Word of God within our hearts!  By asking the Holy Spirit to live within us – to lead and guide us!  By allowing the Holy Spirit to try our hearts!  By seeking for Forgiveness from God, from others – and perhaps, even Forgiving Ourselves as God has forgiven us!  This is the day to walk in our Victory in Christ Jesus!  The Lord hears our cries, and saves and redeems us out of all our troubles!  The weapons of our warfare are mighty – and through our God, we have been given the fruits of the Spirit of God – even Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness – and Faith!  Today, we pray that God will fortify our Strength; that we will be built up in the most Holy Faith – giving our Thanks to Jesus, the Lover of our souls!  Paul encourages us that what we have learned and received and heard – that we DO ... that we walk in the ways of the Lord.  Then, the God of Peace – SHALOM – will be with us!  We are blessed!  May we declare like Paul – that we have fought a good fight; that we have kept the faith!
With our Love and Prayers for God’s Blessings Upon You This Week!  Pastor Jewelly Hyden
